The Swedish driver missed the first round at the Hermanos Rodriguez track, and would have to make up ground in the Brazilian track. So he did it, and he showed it right in the qualification by getting pole position with a margin above 1.300s to second on the grid.
Race wouldn’t be that smooth, but Douglas managed to get with more or less difficulties is GS powered Brabham BT49 to the first position. He got off in position one, but a small mistake in lap six meaned he had to chase the front runner, which he did latter after some laps. From there on, his main challenge was just maintaining his car on track for the remaining 39 laps.
A great debut for Lundberg, who got a win on his debut for GhostSpeed and on an international stage.
Congratulations!
