Season ending in fashion

Despite a not so good start of the season, GhostSpeed is finishing in big style the GT Portugal GTR2 season after winning the last two races. Altough the fight for the lead is now impossible, these results brought new hope of the team being able to climb up to the 2nd place, being the 3rd overall being guaranteed already. With one race to go, a three hour special, the team as now three wins. Two for Miguel and one for Pedro. Both are also in top 10 positions in drivers table.

 

 

At Suzuka, Miguel would be the figure of the race by dominating all race. Starting with a pole position he would dominate almost every lap, to win a hard fought race up untill last corner. With this win, one of the longest runing team members, and totalist at this championshipo, got the fourth win of his simracing career here. The race wouldn’t be resumed to this, as Pedro Costa also would be in good shape to claim another top 5, before getting next round, his best result ever. In a Suzuka nightly race, this result would put the team on track to a final podium position.

At Estoril it would all be about Pedro, that at the end of the day, would just not claim the fastest lap of the race. Everything else would be on his pocket. On the teams home track, history repeated itsel, as the teams first ever win at this championship also awas at Estoril, in GT2. Pedro would claim pole, and lead all 62 laps, do discuss it all at the last pitstop. He is now the third GhostSpeed driver to win a race at the GT1 main championship, and the only one to have won it in both classes. Miguel would not be forgotten from race, but a first lap incident connected with a engine problem would relegate him to a final position 6. All in all another great result for GhostSpeed in home track.
