Though, the World Championship race, would not turn to be as good, as the Ace one. Once more, in an ultra competitive qualification, it would mean that, even the slightest error, would be hardly penalized. That would happen once more, since the top 14 racers where separated by less than a second. A though competition, that would see Rouault place himself at the 10th spot, and Disley a little further back, in 12th.
Both would climb up, be in points ‘virtually’, but their hopes would smoke up with land at sight.
With different reasons, both drivers would be at the last part of the race, be within the points, which could be a first for GhostSpeed Racing Team, but it would be NO race for Portuguese based formation. Disley decided to change his setup, in hope of finding some more pace, but with 19 laps to go, his brakes would let him down, when he was comfortably in 7th. As the Australian driver recognized himself, it was a learnt lesson, the hard way, yes, but someday we all have to learn.
Rouault tough, had a different story, even if the end result, was the same, that is, no points. After starting at the packed mid grid, he would spun at T2, and although he started 10th, it would be from there on the same as if he started from the back grid. He recovered to a good 8th position, until three laps to go, when a race incident, would make the Dutch driver withdraw from race. He did not collect any points, but he showed he deserves his place among the fastest drivers.
GhostSpeed heads now to Great Britain, to race at Silverstone, where it hopes to get back into the points.
Stephane Rouault (NL) 12th, race comments:
"I think this was one of my best races, had it not been for what happened on lap 67. I was really competitive, and one of the fastest guys out there.
My qualifying didn’t go so bad, I was just 4 tenths behind the pole position, sadly this also meant I was on P10. I screwed up in sector three, lost about 2/3 tenths there. But, the race is long, so no worries. I had a good start, but as normally, it’s really crowded around P10 on the start. I got by Danny. Going into turn 2, Saxen steering sharply to the inside, I had to avoid, and then Danny hit me in the back and spun me around. So I had to start from P20 all over again. I had some nice overtakings, and a really competitive race. It was the most fun I ever had in FSR. Too bad I couldn’t bring any points home, because of Schmalenbach driving me off track. I think I really deserved some points this time. Hopefully I have more luck on Silverstone."
Blair Disley (AUS) 14th, Race Comments:
"As I said in the other thread, there was an online FSR session during the week and a few guys were there. Along with the help from Stephane, thanks to Patrick and Gabriel and Luis Fernando for their encouraging comments and also to Patrick who showed his pace their. I was able to see that more top speed and tried lower wings then I currently had and I was now quicker than my previous France times!
However, for the WC race I thought I would try even lower wings and it was a gamble as it was untested but it was slower. I also used more brake pressure and more brake bias one way and the brakes failed. So, if I had of used my Ace setup, I would have been a bit quicker and perhaps finished in the top8 since some others had some problems.
But it's a lesson learnt/reminder to go with what you know for a race!
Congrats to the top8 finishers."

So with that all in mind I was able to get a third place since Yannick had a problem or a three stopper. Congrats to Domagoj and Stephane. I think if there was no dirty air effect Domagoj would perhaps have gotten past allot earlier than he did! To start last, with the dirty air effect and finish on the podium is a really great effort!"
